I kind of said that off the cuff, but she made her back situation sound so bad that it made no sense that within days she was up and about. Not saying it can't happen, but I'd think she'd want to be careful. And why not just say, hey guys, I'm going to NYC to fix my nose. Instead she kept it a secret until after. Oh it doesn't really matter. But she is just ridiculous.

I guess you and the girl above don't follow Amelia since a long time or don't know a lot about sociology of social classes
(sorry my english is very bad, but I will try to explain, I hope it will be understandable)

Amelia is from an extremely wealthy social class (her parents are billionnaires in inheritance, millionnaires in income, as everyone in her circle), doctors and lawyers are not from this social class, it would be a social downgrading if she marries one. People of her social circle work in Finance and real estate.
