Her thumbnails are so rude. Not to mention, she used an almost 13 yr old picture of Miranda at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2008.punk_barbie wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 8:50 amI also don't like her contradictive nature. It doesn't appear very professional to me. Also her thumbnails of her videos became more and more unprofessional. She always makes a weird grimace, why?SamaraS wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 9:17 amI dont like some of her content though. Mostly the contradictive nature of her intuitive eating claims but nitpicking every meal in terms of nutrients/balance. It is unrealistic for every meal to be perfectly balanced all the time. If she stated this it would bother me less, but I havent heard her state it...

Re: Abbey Sharp
She just posted a new video half an hour ago and on he thumbnail she makes a grimace like a toddler who is happy about getting a cookie. Why always such a stupid face, Abbey?

Re: Abbey Sharp
I assume she wants to appeal to a younger audience. However, she is a health professional holding a university degree. If a MD or RD would present themselves like that I would not seek professional advice from them.

Re: Abbey Sharp
I couldn't take it when she started talking like she was in her teens if not early twenties to appeal to Gen Z girls and it was really weird. Also she contradicts herself a LOT in her critique videos. I get that it's legit to recommend more veggies and more whole grains as a professional RD but it's weird when the person eats super healthily already or if "intuitively" they don't want any of that. But anyhow. Glad that she took the feedback from Obese2Beast and GregDoucette to heart and retracted her biased statements, or at least clarified them.

Re: Abbey Sharp
I'm only 7 minutes in but I have to majorly disagree on Abbeys comments regarding Alivia father telling her not to eat cake. I feel like we don't have the full contents of the situation but I took it as "don't eat all that sugar so late at night when you should be going to sleep soon", rather than a comment on her weight. I could be wrong, especially as I've watched the glow up diaries. But I think my main issue is Abbey then goes on to talk about that book and how parent's shouldn't comment on what children eat, they should just be neutral. It's the role of a parent to teach the children things, this includes how to eat. Would you let a 7 year old drink a litre of coke a day? No you would teach them moderation. Obviously Alivia is a grown up, but i think this is a wider is of people trying to promote good body image (which is obviously great) but they go to an extreme and disregard everything else. Physical health is also importantMacrofriendlygal wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 2:07 pmHas anyone watched her latest video about Alivia & the Glow Up Diaries? Unsure whether to waste my time or not haha

Re: Abbey Sharp
Ugh, I recently watched her bashing the "That Girl" trend, calling it dangerous and not realistic and I like her even less now. First of all, it was her decision to have children and it doesn't mean it's necessary to bash everyone who has time to work on themselves I work from home, don't have children and I find those videos very inspiring for productive healthy mornings!
She is also older than a typical "that girl" so the whole video just looked like somebody being bitter and miserable about her choices in life.
Also, can't stand it when she tries to be "sassy", it's embarrassing to watch.
Her videos have also come up on TikTok recently. She is trying very hard to appeal to a younger audience but the platform isn't for her as there is too much happening in her short videos - it's hard to follow the person she's bashing and her fast comments and text plus the music is way too loud. You might be too old for being a "That Girl" or being on Tiktok, Abbey!

Re: Abbey Sharp
I just came here to be sure other people found this content as cringe as I do lol. I used to like watching her because it was nice to see a youtuber who criticized diet culture or whatever but she's so gimmicky it's unbearable. Like what is this balance you're trying to strike btwn Educated Dietician and One Of The Girlies lol. I also die every time she adds a 10 year old meme to her videos lfjdjdhjkfs Lastly, I'm a hater of the Dietician Eats Like __ For a Day" videos because she literally doesn't follow the plan she modifies it... And when she's like "as an influencer," ??? whom called you an influencer,

Re: Abbey Sharp
She's taking being a "cool nutritionist" way too far, to the point where it's no longer "relatable" and it's totally counterproductive. It seems like every YouTube Short is her ordering Burger King, Sonic, Dunkin' Donuts, etc.
She's misleading people into thinking it's fine to eat at those places all the time just as long as you order the "healthier" options (newsflash: it's all garbage and you will gain weight/feel gross if you eat at those places all the time). She even made a clip telling people it's fine to drink Diet Coke, and the only reason why she doesn't herself is because of the taste!
It's also problematic because she's clearly someone who has never struggled with her weight. Most people who watch her channel are probably trying to lose weight, and it's simply bad advice to imply that people can eat at those places and still be healthy. Even if your goal isn't to lose weight, you still can't really argue that it's healthy to eat at those places.

Re: Abbey Sharp
She regularly over shares, is mentally ill,has sibo, and refuses to temporarily restrict the kinds of foods she's eating which is part of the protocol for treating sibo.. She's overall not somebody I'd trust with advice on healthy eating., plus no matter hat she's doing she's exaggerating miserable and being hateful for clicks and views and is very unhinged.

Re: Abbey Sharp
Not Abbey telling everyone to report Eugenia Cooney... as if Youtube doesn't already know who she is? Not only is it a waste of time but there are actual horrifying videos out there that need to be removed much more urgently than Eugenia Cooney's

Re: Abbey Sharp
Just watched her That Girl video after seeing somebody's comment and it's so pick me ugh. Like you don't have to live the perfect that girl life but she is being all quirky and relatable about the lemon water and makeup and its so annoying.
