Wow.
I mean, she's absolutely right about this. But we all remember the days not that long ago when she actively encouraged fans to rebook/cancel tickets to Les Mis if she was ill etc. And now she's all up on her high horse about a theatre informing audiences of their options. Hypocricy, thy name is Carrie!

We won't bring up the reputation she has for treating her own understudies like dirt.

Was just about to bring this up. But Carrie's not the star in this show so she can be outraged about the understudy being shat on.
I can't even with her. Her attitude is so flip-floppy.

Carrie won't be the star of any show again. Her contemporaries are leaving her for dust. In the Les Mis concert (I'm going) she has equal billing but everyone knows that Alfie and Michael are 'the names' and people love Matt because he's a good, genuine guy. Fantine is dead after twenty minutes let's be honest. Hoping for a nuanced performance of 'I Dreamed a Dream'but suspect it will be a combination of the face and full on belting to show that she can. I still believe that the vocal issues in Heather's were down to trying to out sing everyone else. Everything in her life is black and white, no light and shade, so not surprising that her singing is the same. Not sure how the wheels came off so spectacularly since she played Eponine

I think it's all because everything was just given to her. She had all those connections because of who her brother was. Then she went on YT and said 'I want to be Eponine' and then she was pretty much just given the part. She's never been anyone's understudy; she's never been a swing; she's never worked as part of a chorus; she's never had to really work and fight for anything she's been given.
Okay, yes. She tells us about auditions she goes to and how she doesn't get call backs for a lot of those. But how many other actors weren't even invited to audition? How many other actors were passed over because 'this one has an online following of however-many-thousand'?
Does she even acknowledge this?

I’m kinda new to this site what’s the stuff about her treating understudies badly? Tried googling but couldn’t find anything. Has she talked crap about them or is there stuff in videos?

Since reading her she has

1) Stopped the yawning selfies and mashed potato ankles
2) Started promoting her friends' work on social media (the way they do for her)
3) Started valuing understudies

Good job guys!

Back in her Eponine days she told people to ask for a refund because she was off sick and her understudy was on, and more recently she pretty much ignored the existence of her Veronica U/S (Olivia Moore), while lauding the accomplishments of the Heather Chandler U/S. Her excuse for ignoring Olivia was that she didn't have a pic of them together, which we all agreed was just a cop-out.

She used to tell people to get refunds when SHE was off.

Didn’t she also refuse to support Olivia on social media because she didn’t have a picture with her...

Carrie this might be CRAZY for you to hear...you don’t have to be the focal point of every photo you post.

Now now, that's not true. Remember she showed her WhatsApp conversation wishing Olivia luck just to prove us wrong. Still makes me laugh

She also unfollowed Oliver on instagram when he posted a picture of him and her understudy, then proceeded to write an entire "fiction" book about theater where the understudy of the main character is a mean maneater who's only aim is to ruin her life.

Remember when she wrote her understudy as a WHORE who has MANICURED NAILS? That she uses to clutch onto Oliver when they make out? Yeah, really shows Kermit's misogyny.

Also, no wonder she feels so insecure in her relationship. If Oliver was willing to make out with anyone on the cast in public but only kissed Kermit in shady closets.

"Because they had actively complained to me however I always try to encourage people to see the show regardless."

What a stupid excuse.

If they "actively complain" you can still encourage them to enjoy the show without you? Or just ignore the message completely (you're not the fucking PR specialist for this theater) instead of embarrassing and shaming your understudy?

Kermit is a massive hypocrite.

She retweeted this. She really does think Carrie is a unique name doesn't she?

“Own her powerful heritage” Carrie is a middle class, blonde, white girl living in the country of her birth.

Try having a Polish or a Sri Lankan or Irish name.

Carrie honestly thinks her name is hard to pronounce. She’s deluded
My surname is longer and more difficult to pronounce than her entire name, and it's not even ethnic. Carrie Hope Fletcher is just about the most generic 1990s name ever.

This has pissed me off no end. YOU STILL TWEETED IT CARRIE YOU ABSOLUTE HEADASS. I completely agree with her tweets regarding the way the theatre handled the situation but people in glasshouses shouldn't throw stones. If she'd stated that the tweet was years ago and she's since changed her ways, fine, but she's really still trying to defend tweeting people to get refunds whilst simultaneously criticising a theatre for tweeting that people can get refunds? she honestly makes my head hurt.

If anyone wants to know exactly what she said.

The correct response is: "Sorry you're disappointed, but X is amazing and it's going to be a great show :)"

Don’t know why she can’t just admit that she was wrong to do that once upon a time. Like i’m sure people have actively complained about dove cameron not being on (apparently this is the second time she’s off?) and thats probably why they made that announcement (which was still a shitty thing to do)— but, like, if you can make excuses for yourself then so can they, karen.

Yeah, I mean FFS we all say stupid shit when we're young. She was what, 19? Fine, you say something thoughtless at 19. But when literally everyone says, "Hey, that was a horrid thing to say," you go: "Yeah, you're right. I should've known better, and it won't happen again." She is so completely incapable of acknowledging her own faults. It's mind-boggling.

She'd be 10 times more likeable if she could get her head out of her own arse and stop defending herself for every little thing instead of maturely admitting she made a mistake. The words 'I'm sorry, I was wrong' just don't seem to be a part of her vocabulary and it's so incredibly immature for a woman of her age.

Just to add most big theatre companies only let you change tickets 48 hours before a show, if it's the day before the show or that day then there's nothing they can do to change tickets and it's only down to their discretion if they move tickets. Most times I know of box office staff rarely do this, only time I remember of is when there was really bad snow in London one year and it was dangerous to travel and transport was lighter than normal.
The poor box office at Les Mis had to deal with her minions:
"but I need to see her and she's off and I have to watch my queen"
