I believe Megan accused Bethany of stealing her ideas in relation to a video. I'm not sure of the entire story either, but that's what started it. Probably something really small and petty.

she used to think she was high and mighty when she was one of the biggest beauty gurus on youtube. then she became complacent in her standing. before she knew it, bethany surpassed her in subscribers and views. bethany gets up to 1million views per video. megan gets like 100k. i bet megan doesn't feel so high and mighty now and just start accusing people of copying her.

I guess it's in the past now, people make mistakes but Megan just happened to make tons. I would like to think she's matured a lot since then, although I definitely see sides of her younger self even now.

I like bethany better. I used to love megan but now its like, youtube is megan's backup hobby or something. The videos beth and meg does are soooooo different, beth spends so much effort in her video. I know ppl say how beth always tries too hard and act cute but at least her videos are original and entertaining. Megan has to stop accusing ppl of stuff, i mean, her halloween videos were just, Boring. Beth's halloween videos were all original. I'm just on bethany's side.

I'm on Bethany's side with this. I guess that might be why I'm in the Trash a Guru - Meganheartsmakeup section. Haha, but Megan's videos are definitely not original. Most of her makeup tutorials are very similar. I remember when it was so daring for her to wear eyeliner on her lower lashline because she used to hate it. Her videos are just boring, if I decide to watch one I can't sit through the whole thing because they're not anything special.

Idk, I'm wondering the same thing. I think Megan accused Beth of stealing her idea, which is complete BS. Megan is so full of herself, I'm siding with Beth. Beth actually puts time and effort into her videos, and she's unique and energetic, while Megan is so boring, and I don't like the way she applies makeup either. There are some flaws with Beth, but I definitely like her more than Megan.

I just think the difference is that Bethany's whole life is YouTube. I think Megan feels like people copy her because she was the first big teen guru.

Totally agree. Bethany's videos are well edited and well thought out. Megan's videos don't even include an intro!

At IMATS NY (2011) Bethany was having a meet-up at Forever21 and apparently asked Megan not to come or something? Sounds weird though- not sure if she would actually do that, lol. And then I guess Megan was at Forever21 at the same time and someone asked her if she was there for the meet-up to which she replied, "Ew, no." Sounds like just a bunch of rumors, though
