I thought his new video was pretty funny, lol. Of course his OTT shouting kind of ruined it, but I still think it was a lot better than his usual content.

He reminds me of Caspar in his early days.

Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that it was similar to what Caspar used to do.
Regardless, it was definitely one of the best videos he's done. I think his videos have been getting better in general since Grant came to help.

I've been very impressed with Josh's latest videos. They have been original and put together professionally by getting straight to the point of the video as opposed to earlier videos where the boys would go off topic for minutes at a time. Perhaps having a contract with comedy central is helping him get his act together?

Yeah he does weekly segments... they're a bit childish but better than a lot of his and other members of buttercreams usual content

I have a HUGE respect for him after this. Though I normally agree with most of the things JackMaate says, he was really rude to Josh on twitter and he really didn't have to go (I wouldn't have) and he stood by his friends, was consistent in everything he said and never backtracked. Which is a deal considering that he didn't know what he was going to be asked and JackMaate can be savage.

Well, he definitely latched onto the best (former) part of Gleam with Caspar and Joe... so at least his content is influenced by them to the point that it's not just meandering vlogs talking about nothing and doing nothing. How the hell does Alfie still get views from doing nothing??? I'm salty as fuck and I don't even do YouTube lol!!!

The video with Jaackmate is my favourite video with Josh. It truly reveals how smart he is and how he cares about bigger issues (e.g SA president being accused of rape and kids seeing gambling ads). Like seriously? He got into law school?! I wish Josh showed more of this side on his main channel. I'd love to see him discuss serious issues from time to time

It's hard not to after that JackMaate video.

I think comedy (at least the comedy he does now) isn't really his forte. I wish he'd show more of himself on his channel, since there's so much more to him than a dumb child entertainer. Now I'm not expecting him to be a woke king but a odd video or two about the things he feels strongly about (he tweets about them, why not make a video sometime) would be refreshing. But I guess there'll be a lot of backlash about him going 'political' and Gleam wouldn't let him do that anyway. But I'd still love to have him sit and talk about normal adult things like an adult at times instead of the same recycled 'guess the song challenge with Jack and Mikey'.

A bit late to the discussion, but I also really enjoyed the podcast with Jack. Josh had really good points and kept to them.. Jack just seemed to be repeating some jealous notions.
He does seem like an interesting person to talk to

TBH it's cause he's with gleam. If he follows in the footsteps of Caspar and Joe (which I doubt, but a girl can dream) he can be picked up by a better management team easily due to his continuous growth and effort. Gleam seems to be aimed at kids around 8-10 years old, but if Josh branded out into slightly more mature content, then he can gain an audience with a wider age demographic
