Bratayley
Does anyone else watch them? They start vlogging four years ago and now make daily vlogs. The middle child is a pretty good gymnast. In today's vlog they went to the Maker Disney All Star conference and met Shay. He told Annie she is a good gymnast and that she should teach Avia some gymnastics.

Re: Bratayley
I watch them.
My favorite thing about them is they NEVER complain about uploading/editing.
They have grown pretty fast, I think they only had 150,000 subscribers a year ago, now they are at 800,000
I think people will be/are attracted to them because the parents let their family travel (they are homeschooled) literally whenever the opportunity arises
They go to Disney World/Land once or twice a month , go to Atlantis for a gymnastics competition etc
Despite this the kids don't seem very spoiled (I think the parents place a value on experiences and less on material things)
The one thing that bothered me was when they let YouTuber from one of their collaboration channels (Bethany G) stay at their house . It sounded like she watched their videos and was a big fan of them and they Skyped with her a couple of times and then, without ever meeting her in real life they invited her to their house for a week. She had a series for like 4 months where she posted interviews, vlogs, house tour etc. of Brataley and it totally seemed like she was taking adventage of them. Though maybe her parents should have done a better job of teaching her boundaries, shouldn't the Bratayley parents have met the parents, seen how the kids interacted beyond a few video chats. Maybe this shouldn't be on Bratayley's forum but it bothered me.

Re: Bratayley
I don't watch them regularly but I am subscribed and have been following them for a long time now, I used to watch some videos of Annie on Seven awesome kids or whatever collab she was on, this was like four years ago at least. I like them, they are like Kittiesmama a bit, but I like their everyday life a bit better and let's be honnest, Annie is the star just like Emma is for Kittiesmama

I enjoy their vlogs but their intro drives me insane. Whenever the vlog starts right away I pause the video and skip it because I can't stand it lol

Does anyone know what happened to Caleb? I just saw Shay and Colette retweet Maker saying he passed away

Re: Bratayley
Their offical instagram page says "Yesterday at 7:08PM Caleb Logan Bratayley passed away of natural causes. This has come as a shock to all of us. Words cannot describe how much we will miss him. His incredibly funny, loving and wonderful spirit made us all fall in love with him as a YouTuber, friend, brother and son. We know you tune in to watch each day and eagerly anticipate new videos, but ask that you bear with us while we deal with this tragedy as a family. Please help us honor our, baked potato."
Really really sad, sending prayers to their family. So unusual for a child to die from a natural cause, guessing it was along the lines of a heart failure. Viewership are mostly young kids who don't know how to take this in a mature way. Pretending they know how he died (including saying it was because of a video they shot where they ate disgusting food.) They are also arguing over whether its real or not. Pretty obvious its real as all of their friends and family have confirmed it on Instagram.
Of course am hoping against hope this is some sort of stupid publicity stunt, but if it is that is disgusting.

I'm so shocked by this, I was really hoping the accounts had been hacked. Their family is in my prayers and I hope they take as much time off to grieve as they need.

Re: Bratayley
That's crazy, wow. Usually when someone passes away it's someone they only showed once in the vlog or never did (like a grandma or a distant cousin). Even though i only watched their videos when i was insanely bored, i still feel for them. I hope they don't go right back into vlogging

Re: Bratayley
Wow that is so sad I'm one of the older viewers that watches them so I cannot deal with the younger viewers comments right now.
I cannot even begin to think what the parents are going through

Re: Bratayley
i saw that in Shaytards comments today, I have been following them off and on for years now, this is so sad, I shed a tear I admit... I hope they feel like they can take any time off from youtube, if they come back, it will be really hard as they will always be hearing questions about Caleb, they will have to address it if they do choose to come back to youtube.

Re: Bratayley
I hope they don't feel pressured to come back onto Youtube. Can't believe how sad this is, he was so full of life. Such horrific odds that two cousins will pass away at such a young age.

Re: Bratayley
I have only been watching bratayley for a few months now, and my heart aches what a horrible thing to experience - losing your own child. I never comment on youtube videos, however on their newest one i had too, many of their viewers are so young im pretty sure they cant really comprehend what has happened. Many saying he died from a panic attack (wtf) or a hurricane, so i had to comment to ask some of them to be respectful. Most of their viewers want answers - but all i want is them to take time, even if that is never coming back. I couldnt fathom loosing my brother. They are in my thoughts.

Re: Bratayley
i'm shocked and still hoping that this is not true. i just can't believe it.
i'm thinking about the family and just don't know what to say really.
but about the pressure about coming back to youtube: the thing is that this is their job and both parents work for youtube (don't they?).
i can't see them getting another job NOW just after losing their son.
but you're right. i hope they take their time and don't feel pressured to come back. i hope they have support to be able to not post any videos and have their privacy to grieve.

I am not a regular viewer, but this is absolutely heartbreaking. As others have stated, I hope that the family takes the appropriate time to grieve and not feel any pressure to put up content.

Re: Bratayley
I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure their dad still has a job in the navy. I think I remember a few recent conversations about it. I hope so, situations like this make you realise how vulnerable a Youtube career is.fraulehrerin wrote:i'm shocked and still hoping that this is not true. i just can't believe it.

Re: Bratayley
they uploaded a video today and the beginning title is "the day before caleb died" thought that was kinda worded weird. i also didnt expect a video but everyone grieves differently and not everyone needs/wants to. i just hope that they do what they need to and don't feel pressured to upload just to quiet the 12 year olds.
EDIT: just watched the end and my heart shattered.

Re: Bratayley
Wow, I'm shocked that they only missed one day. They are so matter of fact about it that it seems unreal (at the beginning of the video "the day before Caleb died" and at the end "Caleb will never get to meet his future self"). Even though I'm extremely curious I now even more than before strongly feel that they should not post videos immediately as it is just to personal.
Re: Bratayley
I've never watched them, but was watching a shaytards video and read about what happened in the comments. I was absolutely shocked and can't imagine having to lose a child. He seemed like such a sweet boy from what I saw.
Anyways, I saw that they actually posted a video today and ... I'm kind of shocked? I mean, I hope people don't get angry at me but their son just died and they took the time to edit a video?
Just seems off? Idk, and how they labeled it in the beginning, couldn't they have said passed away? It just seemed so blunt.
Idk.
