Don't really have a favourite but I really enjoyed Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys

The Jungle by Upton Sinclair. Totally recommend it if you're into gross, depressing, eye-opening. Written at turn of the century and had real historical influence in the US. And for makeup. It was the reason the FDA was established, making regulations and health/safety standards.

My favorite is the Harry Potter Series. I know this is so common lol. But I have reread them so many times and absolutely love them.

The Catcher and the Rye. Such a fantastic read, as I was going through emotional turmoil--even though Holden is a fictional character, knowing someone was having a rough time was comforting to me. A definite classic that everyone should read at least once in their lives.

Re: What's everyones favourite novel?
I love the novels posted here so far, Clockwork & The Jungle are also in my top favorites.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is not as liked from where I'm from for being cliche or a Catcher rip off but it made me have an emotional break down and cry every other chapter, and helped me come to terms with what I was going through in high school, so I'm going to say it is a favorite.
The first time I read The Catcher in the Rye I hated it, read it three more times after, and love it more each time, its a book that you can dig deeper the more you dig deeper into your own life. Can't wait to read it in a decade or two again.
But alas, my favorite *of all time novel is the Harry Potter series. I grew up reading it and can't replace this experience.

I can't decide (there's still so many books I want to read!) but right now it's The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood.

Water for Elephants. Loved it. Never saw the movie. Couldn't. The book was awesome.

Catcher in the Rye is definitely my favorite, alongside Of Mice and Men. They are both great, I can't pick

I also really love A Clockwork Orange. And I know this isn't a novel, but one of my favourite literary works of all time is A Streetcar Named Desire. It's so insanely amazing
