Re: MICHELLE PHAN SUED!
Hahahahaha, can't believe that made it onto TMZ. What an idiot, can't believe she would be naive enough to use that music. She's gonna be wishing she wasn't such a #richbawselady pretty soon because they're about to take her for all she's worth

Re: MICHELLE PHAN SUED!
I guess it's back to square one for her now. I wonder how she's going to earn all of those money back since they're sueing her for ALL of her profits. Damn :/ To be honest, I kind of feel bad for her. As awful as her personality may be, I don't think any human being should suffer like this.
Remember to credit.
Re: MICHELLE PHAN SUED!
This is actually interesting because if it goes to trial, everything will be public record, and we'll be able to see just how much she's been making from YouTube, em, etc

Re: MICHELLE PHAN SUED!
I dont feel bad for her. They told her before she didn't have a lisc. And she ignored them continuing to violate the law... Welp, this is what happens.

Re: MICHELLE PHAN SUED!
Karma's a bitch, right? I mean the record label has already warned her about the licensing but she probably just blew it off like how she blows everything off. It will be interesting to see how music licensing would affect other gurus though because Bethany uses a lot of mainstream music for her videos (Demi Lovato, Cher Lloyd, etc) and she hasn't gotten into trouble yet.

Re: MICHELLE PHAN SUED!
I think she deserves to pay the company but only for the videos that contain their music, not for the videos that don't use their music. She did get a warning and it was her really stupid mistake to keep using the copyrighted material.

Re: MICHELLE PHAN SUED!
No sympathy from me.
Michin's antics needs to be exposed/stopped and she needs to pay up for them. Copyright infringement is a serious thing; she should have known better and stopped herself from her constant fraudulent acts and learned her lesson from IQQU, IPSY, FAWN and many more. Not only that, she has been warned many times but, completely ignored everyone and brushed it off as if she was God (example: Prince calling her ass out for using his music).
Goes to show that if you fly too close to the sun, you gonna get burrrrrned~~~

Re: MICHELLE PHAN SUED!
This is hilarious.
We all knew karma was coming for her, but I didnt expect it to be so soon!
Copyrights infringement is a big deal and every youtuber knows that. Nigahiga got most of his video taken down in his earlier days because it used certain songs and he has refrained from using song directly and made his on version of a song. I figure chinny would obtain some sort of rights to use these songs in her videos since she's so well off. Who knew that bitch was so greedy as to brush off labels warning. I dont feel bad for her at all, despite giving credits, she shouldve obtained a license for security.
She's so used to ripping off of people that she doesnt think of the aftermath for her actions. Cheat and lying her way to frame, this is only a good way to teach her to be wary of her action.
Lol, like they said... calm before a bloody storm.
No wonder it been so boring lately! Karma was just waiting for the right time to strike!

Re: MICHELLE PHAN SUED!
COPIED FROM THE "GENERAL DISCUSSION" THREAD;
Her minions are already coming to her defence.
Somebody has already mentioned that the L'Oreal legal team does have two choices;
1) Drop her like last year's translucent powder, or
2) Counter-sue on the same grounds that record companies are suing for (the basis of promotion without compensation).
One message that this lawsuit sends loud and clear is that record companies are no longer fucking around with the way the internet has messed with their profit margins; from streaming sites (like Pandora, and 8tracks), to on-demand like YouTube.
BubzBeauty might just be next...
EDIT: Watch YouTubers now start making all their most profitable videos "private."
