Morning:
Aurelia Miracle Cleanser
Aurelia Cell Revitalize Day Moisturizer
Algenist Ultra Light UV Defense Fluid SPF 50

Evening:
Fresh Soy Eye Conditioning Makeup Remover
Aurelia Miracle Cleanser
Aurelia Cell Revitalize Day Moisturizer - it's pretty rich despite being a "day" product
Lush Lovely Jubblies Breast Cream - I like using this as a moisturizer for my décolletage.

About 3 times a week I'll use a gentle exfoliating toner as well.

I have a simple skin care routine. Cleansing, moisturizing and protecting from the heat is the three important things for me. I use a mild and pure soap in washing my face; I also avoid using harsh soaps that may damage my skin. I applied some moisturizer and sunscreen to keep my skin hydrated and protected from sun damages.

FAKEBLOOD! i love seeing your name here. what else do you rate from derma-e? i tried one or two of their products (that toner is on my iherb wish list) and really love them so far.

my current routine:

morning:
splash with cold water
moisturise with derma-e anti-wrinkle vitamin A retinyln palmitate cream (i often skip this, the below is often enough)
sunscreen, currently eltamd spf 46 clear. broad spectrum.

evening:
OCM with jojoba oil
cleanse with superfacialist rose cleanser
tone with thayer's witch hazel
exfoliate with Paula's Choice 2% BHA gel every 2nd night
exfoliate with Alpha Hydrox astringent every 2nd/3rd night
moisturise with derma-e as above
palmer's rose hip oil

Thanks, hun! Another Derma-E product I like is their Overnight Peel (it used to be called something else, but I think this is what the current name is). When I feel like switching up AHA products I will use that in lieu of the PC AHA gel, the Alpha Hydrox AHA Souffle, and the Olay Regenerist Night Resurfacing Elixir. The other two products I used to like from Derma-E have been discontinued for some time now, unfortunately... one of them was a facial cleanser called vanilla bean mousse, and another one was a light lotion in a tube called fruit smoothie serum, or something to that extent. It's so depressing when good products get discontinued. ;(

NOTE: My skincare changes a bit depending on how my skin feels during that day.

Morning
- Wash with La Roche Posay Micellar Water OR Kiehls Ultra Creamy Facial Wash OR Green Tea Purifying Mask by Perfect Potion
- Spray with La Roche Posay/ Avene Thermal Water
- If my skin is feeling congested already La Roche Posay effaclar Duo+
- Clarins Ever Matte Foundation SPF15 OR La Roche Posay BB Cream SPF50 OR Paula's Choice Resist Light Sunscreen SPF30

Evening
- Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm
- Kiehl's Ultra Creamy Facial Cleanser
- La Roche Posay/ Avene Thermal Water
- Paula's Choice Clear Regular Strength BHA2% liquid
- Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Antioxidant Serum with Retinol mixed with Paula's Choice Resist C15
- La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+ OR Perfect Potion Soothe Oil OR Paula's Choice Hydralight Moisturising Lotion

Masks
- Glam Glow YouthMud Exfoliating mask; used sparingly, once a week maybe once every 1.5-2 only on my T Zone
- Dermalogica Gentle Cream exfoliant; once a week
- Aforementioned Perfect Potion Green Tea Mask; I use this as a "cleanser" if my skin is feeling RIDICULOUSLY oily in the morning and if I just want a light mask to help keep my skin in check.

I have acne-prone skin, so I've found that natural and minimal skin care is effective. Also, I don't use anything tested on animals, so everything here isn't tested! The prescription acne stuff I use may be tested on animals, but I bought a big tube of it before I did any research and it was prescribed by a doctor so i can't just switch it out. i will talk to my derma about safer options tho :)

Morning:
Herbalism face wash by Lush
Tea tree toner water by Lush
Tazorac Gel

Night:
Burt's Bees gentle exfoliating wipes
wipe my face with water to get rid of excess
tea tree toner

simple yet effective!

Reading through this thread makes me feel bad about my face routine, lol.

I use Dove bar soap. LMAO

Sometimes I use La Roche Posay Effaclar Medicated face wash and Clarifying solution toner and I like it okay. Dove bar soap keeps my skin from breaking out and it's easy so that's why I use it. :tu:

does anyone else have skin that is sensitive to fatty alcohols? (cetyl, cetearyl, stearyl alcohol) I FINALLY realized this was the common ingredient in a lot of things that I suspected might be breaking them out so I went without them for a couple days and my skin immediately started to look better! The downside is that a lot of the products that I previously used had fatty alcohols in them so I'm looking for some alternatives!

Morning:

simple moisturizing facial wash (i'd like an alternative to this though, I find it a bit drying for the winter)
thayers alcohol free witch hazel
avene tolerence extreme cream

Evening:

clinique take the day off balm cleanser
clinique take the day off eye makeup remover
thayers alcohol free witch hazel
marcelle hydra-c 24 H energizing hydrating gel

treatments:

marcelle clay mask

if anyone has any recommendations for an spf, or scrub (either manual or chemical) I'd love to hear it!

^ i don't know about the ingredients, it might not work for you, but i can't say enough good things about elta md broad spectrum spf 46. i just adore it. no white cast, quite moisturising (i dont always use a separate moisturiser underneath) and niacinamide which my skin loves.

on the scrub side i really rate paulas choice 2% BHA lotion. im using the gel at the moment but my skin seems to agree more with the lotion. you can get samples from the site too, so you can try before you buy. again not sure if the ingredients will work for you, sorry!

^^ thanks for the suggestions! :love2: Where do you buy the elta md? From their website it looks like you can only get it from specific physicians? I'm just slightly worried since the website basically called out the 'unauthorized resellers'
