She talks about books primarily on her podcast Books Unbound. She doesn't read as much as she used to, but that's mostly where she talks about reading.880abc wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 2:30 pmI am really enjoying the house series - the wild colors are so not my style but like who cares, I love that it's different than all the *aesthetic* interior design channels show, and I'm impressed that she just goes for it.
I do feel like she's just not that interested in books/reading in this phase of her life - I feel like I haven't seen her discuss a book she's actually finished in a long while. (Maybe not since her 2020 favorites??) I get that it's hard to be sort of stuck with something as your job that you're not interested in anymore but like... If it's your job, you kind of need to block time daily and just do it. Like an hour a day should get you through 4ish books in a month.

Weird question. Did she break up with the boyfriend who moved with her or did he just move out? She mentioned leaving new books at her boyfriend's apartment a couple of times in the last video.

And so I cry sometimes when I'm lying in bed...Just to get it all out, what's in my head...And I, I am feeling a little peculiar...And so I wake in the morning and I step outside...And I take a deep breath and I get real high...And I scream from the top of my lungs..."What's going on?"...

Also noticed that! Maybe he lived with her in the beginning so he could find his own apartment where they now live? I find it wired but maybe he hates to live in a house that’s not finished? Or maybe it’s weird for him to live with her family/got tired from it since he lived with them before they moved? Or maybe they broke up and it’s a new boyfriend. Who knows?

Does she introduce him in any of the recent videos? All I saw from her new home vlogs was him being her cameraman. In her last vlog she said they went to Europe for a business trip for him. Perhaps he received a job offer to relocate and they are doing long distance?

I'm really enjoying each upload she does showing her remodeled rooms
I may not have the same taste with everything she has done but I like how she is putting out creative content

Yep! I love her new content as well!
I'm curious because it seems like both her boyfriend and her brother have moved out, and she seems to be happier when people live with her. Maybe Nova Scotia is too rural for them?

I haven't watched a ton of her, but I binged her house reno videos the other day and I love watching the process. Her style is WAY different from mine, but I love watching her create a space that she loves to be in. Its nice and wholesome given the current state of things.

She talks about it in the next episode of her podcast, Books Unbound. It was released on Patreon yesterday, but it's officially released Sunday. She basically said she didn't understand the hype around her previous Goodreads color videos and this year's color was one of the options they gave her last year.

She doesn't understand??? But she created those videos for years by herself, she started ittoocynical wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 9:08 amShe talks about it in the next episode of her podcast, Books Unbound. I understand if she doesn't want to create them anymore but don't play confused now.

Yeah, these videos are what made goodreads let her pick a colour last year.oh_do_tell wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 5:16 pmShe doesn't understand??? But she created those videos for years by herself, she started ittoocynical wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 9:08 am

And I know she just bought a house a year ago, but it's funny to me that she got to pick a colour and then stopped using goodreads. Not that I'm judging her, I moved to a different site as well, but it's still amusing to me.
