Well, there are more pros than cons. By rooting your phone you automatically void its warranty (although you can "unroot" it, but let's not get too technical). Rooting your phone gives you full control over your operating system. You can access all folders, more customization options etc. The way you worded your question though, makes me believe that you're not too familiar with these kind of procedures. Please don't take it as rude or anything, but I suggest you to avoid it altogether if you don't have a legitimate reason/interest to do so, because if you don't follow the right steps you could "brick" your phone (meaning it won't work anymore and will be as useful as a brick).

If you have a specific problem you want to fix by rooting your phone, can you tell me about it? Maybe there's something else you can do.
