imho they should have bought a house in Ohio instead of LA. Much cheaper in OH plus they'd be near their families so Mama and Baba could give them a break sometimes. Even Diana Saldana and her husband, who seem to have a good handle on parenting their infant daughter, are moving back to the NYC area to be closer to family.

I saw their lot on a parcel map of the development and I think they really did get the biggest lot. Over half an acre! If I had all that land I'd put it to good use. Since Mel wants to have every occupation, will we soon be seeing Mel the Farmer? Even just Mel the Landscaper would be special.

On top of the extra money, you still have to build on it, or spend money on landscaping.

That's very possible. But then they'd need to close the restaurant. Unless Mama and Baba opened up a new one in LA, which would be much harder due to the greater expense and competition, could they still survive? Even if they rented out their home, rent prices in Ohio are much lower than in California, especially the Los Angeles area.
