Also I just googled and can't get over how common child drownings are in Texas. Apparently the CID routinely investigate drownings and press charges where necessary.

Amanda’s actually going through her tik tok video comments and deleting anything mentioning the tragic event. I almost can’t comprehend how unfeeling you have to be to post something so banal so close after what happened, and then to consciously try to act like nothing happened less than a week after it happened. It makes me sad.

One of the people who left a comment called Nadine also had a comment under Rania's post, sounded like she is a friend of Rania as the comment seemed a bit close/intimate? Leena and Marqh also commented jnder Rania's post but nothing from Loren or Amanda
Honestly, this shows who Amanda is as a person, the Asads are very selfish individuals

WOW. That is just...talk about cold. Little Miss Bride-to-be has been waiting for the run up to her wedding for over 2 years and apparently nothing is going to stop her, death in the family of close friends be damned. BTW, that dress was apparently from ASOS, which has a horrible fair trade rating. The fast fashion money train chugs on for the Asads.2nd_toshiko wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 1:36 pmAmanda’s actually going through her tik tok video comments and deleting anything mentioning the tragic event. This is what they get for starting that stupid sister channel. People see them as a unit.

Re: With Love, Leena
It really is odd how Leena isn’t close to Omar’s family considering they all grew up together? Like how she calls them the “Snoubar family” when she literally is a Snoubar and part of the family ? It’s so odd to phrase things that way.
Also, if you watch back on their Eid vlogs (or marahs) Omar is always going to things alone and leena is never around. It also seems like Alaina only sees her cousins when Omar takes her to his moms for babysitting. I consider my sisters sister in laws my own sisters and they refer to me as the same- so it’s really bizarre the dynamic of their family. Considering Marah and her cousins are super close, I feel like the asad sisters alienate themselves on purpose and are super stand offish. They always say how they do have friends aside from their own sisters but 1. Where are they? And 2. They don’t even hang out with their family, cousins, or people they grew up with so I have a hard time believing that.
I hope Omar gets through this difficult time, and Leena has some sort of patience and respect for his family. Amanda is so beyond conceited and weird for posting despite what’s going on. Also- how ironic is it that they go silent on social media ONLY for someone that directly involves them but with everything else going on in the world they constantly ignore it and continue posting links/videos/ads. Hope this is a wakeup call for them all.

Re: With Love, Leena
I am so so heartbroken by Jude's death. May Allah give his family patience during this difficult time. I cannot even imagine the heartbreak they must be going through. And poor Marah blames herself for not being able to save him. Her post brought so many tears to my eyes. I pray that she finds some kind of peace as I'm sure the guilt is eating away at her.
I ended up going on a deep dive looking into Jude's family and honestly the Snoubars (minus Leena and Omar) seem like they are such down-to-earth normal people. I saw Jude's moms Instagram account and she lives such a normal life. There is such a huuuuuge difference compared to the opulence and #aesthetic life Leena tries sooo hard to maintain.
I've always gotten the vibe that Omar grounds a lot of Leena's crazy desires (I remember she's said before that he disagrees with her on getting lip fillers and maybe other surgical procedures). Recently they also talked about how Omars first car (which he had for like 11 years) is on its last leg and it's time to upgrade it. What a difference between how down to earth he grew up vs. the life Leena is trying to have.
Honestly, no wonder she had a meltdown on vacation with them. They're probably really chill and easy going and low maintenance vs she's uptight and needs everything to be perfect. Honestly, I feel bad for Omar. I think he fell in love with her before all this influencer stuff and maybe this is a real wake up call for them to step back and look at the life they're creating. A life filled with so much fakeness.
I absolutely would not be surprised if there is a huge rift between Leena and Omars family. Omars family seems like they really value spending time together and value creating and maintaining family bonds. Leena on the other hand only wants to be holed up in her huge house doing makeup and trying dress up all day.

Re: With Love, Leena
This! I mean she literally changed her last name. That's YOUR family Leena and your nephew too? It's all very strange and makes it obvious that there may be some strained relations between her and her sisters and the Snoubars. I can't imagine going on my social media and telling people to pray for my husband's family...it would be our family.muchtoponder wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 7:25 pmIt really is odd how Leena isn’t close to Omar’s family considering they all grew up together? Re: With Love, Leena
On another note - lately I've really been wondering. What is it about the Asad girls upbringings that have caused them to be so materialistic? When I hear Leena talking about her upbringing or see pics of their childhood or late teenage years, they look so normal. I don't think Baba Asad ever intended for his girls to be so shallow. They already grew up quite privileged.
Was it their desire for more? More money, more clothing, more status?
Was it their inability to feel content or grateful with whatever they had (and let's be frank - they are extremely lucky to have grown up with such an upper-class lifestyle)
Was it a lifestyle creep where they suddenly kept chasing the next best thing that would bring them happiness?
Maybe I'm just being extra critical in light of Jude's death. I don't know, but I feel like they've lost their way and I can't pinpoint exactly when that happened. I miss the content that was actually relatable vs the picture-perfect image they're projecting now. Even if we look back at Leena's engagement to Omar, they seem so down to earth wearing dresses that look like something you'd find at your average mall/department store.

Re: With Love, Leena
I think once the brand deals and the real money started rolling in is when it changed for Leena. That's when she quit her nursing job. Then Amanda and Loren saw the money to be made and the lifestyle Leena was going to be able to build and jumped on the same train.
I think the feedback they get on social media is also a part of it. All their comment streams are full of young girls and women constantly telling them how beautiful and amazing they are. I guess that starts to go to one's head at some point.
I know that some of how these girls act has to be because of some parts of their upbringing. But I have to say, if I were Baba and Mama Asad, I'd be pretty pissed that the college educations I paid for, for Leena and Amanda, ended up being used to play dress up on camera for money and lip sync to audio tracks on TikTok.

Re: With Love, Leena
Comparison happened. Their community in Tyler is mainly white… Amanda and Loren were both high school dancers. It’s very popular in Texas, basically like the Rockettes but with cowboy hats and boots. It’s all been deleted but it’s a rich girl thing.
But yea when the money came in, and being a white passing Muslim proved to be a good move, of course they would exploit it. My fav is how Loren calls herself Arab American [which she is no doubt] but does actually nothing for the culture except use it to be a diversity point with brands

Pretty much. Stalled out around 78K subscribers. They haven't posted anything since Ramadan. I wouldn't be surprised if they just delete it, especially with Amanda moving away.

I didn't see it, it was already deleted.
There are two comments calling her out that she hasn't deleted yet. One basically said "I can't believe you did this, it's so insensitive" and the other said along the lines of "how can you be so self-centered, I used to be a fan but not anymore".

To clarify - the comments I mentioned above were other people. But Nadine probably said something similar. Her last name in his tag was the same as his so it must be his sister or sister-in-law.

The fact that she's deleting comments is sickening. The vanity and insensitivity is sickening.
