Re: Lana Del Rey
I absolutely love Lana Del Rey. Surprising actually as she's not my usual type of music but I love the slightly theatrical and Old Hollywood themes of her music, so romantic. I love so many of her songs, Young and Beautiful, Diet Mountain Dew, Dark Paradise...

Re: Lana Del Rey
I avoided Ultraviolence at first because I guess I thought I wouldn't like it that much after not liking a few of the songs on her last album.
I finally bought it and there's nothing at all I dislike about it. I'm reminded of why I fell in love with her music in the first place.

Re: Lana Del Rey
I like Lana Del Rey but I find her music can be very repetitive. I'll just pick the songs I like and buy them. Lana is an introvert. Definitely in her interviews and I also get the impression that she's an introvert through her music too.

I don't know why but this interview gives off the same vibes I get from some of Marilyn Monroe's interviews.

Re: Lana Del Rey
I absolutely love the way she looks. She reminds me of an old comic book character or something, that very classic beauty with her pointed nose and pouty lips and her heavy lashes over those eyes. I especially like the way her makeup has been lately in promos for her new album - very dark undereyes, it looks so chic. Yeah there's no way she was born that way but it really works for her.
Some of her songs are just gorgeous, some I can't stand. I also don't get how her live performances can be so across the board though. I am by no means a great singer but sometimes she sounds brutal. I don't think I would pay to see her live just based on what I've seen. :/

Re: Lana Del Rey
I find it strange that people complained the video for Ultraviolence was boring. It's exactly in keeping with the kind of videos she always made before she was famous.

Re: Lana Del Rey
Can't stand Lana's plastic face, or her 'singing'. I only wonder what demeaning things she did to become popular!

Re: Lana Del Rey
Love her, she has an absolute stunning vocal range. Her music is also different than anything I've ever heard it's very Jazzy and Cinematic. I also love a lot of her unreleased music, I think that's her best music. At least just as good as the born to die record, pity she can never do anything with those songs since someone hacked into her computer and illegally uploaded them onto the internet.

Lana Del Rey is stunning. Her Born to Die album is my absolute favorite album. Old money and summertime sadness are my favorite songs of hers.

I think this thread is dead but I really like Lana, her music and Marina’s is the only music I listen to from artists that live now.
